I do not love arena shows either. Probably out on this show
That doesn't sound bad for a guy selling out arenas.$100 for nosebleed Zach Bryan tickets? Oof
I was looking at 85' TV's the other day and my wife was having none of it unfortunately. It’s pretty much not economical to do anything anymore. I’m just going the Palma route of spending it all.
Damn, my son’s 3rd bday party at the zoo that dayAny DC Deacs want to meet up to watch the ODU game (noon Sept 16)? I'm in town for a conference that ends that morning.
This year's lineup is so much better than whatever the hell they farted out last year. Kicking myself for making plans for this weekend.Posted on the music thread, but for only slightly more than the price of a nosebleed Zach Bryan ticket, you can have a full three day pass to Hopscotch for 150 if any of you Triangle/NC'ers are interested. I've just been kind of on the fence, so figure maybe if someone reallyREALLY wants to go, it could be a win/win and I could make my money back. I also just spaced on the dates/days so won't even be able to make it to Pavement tomorrow, and the other bands I want to see are either going on too late or playing at the same time as another band I want to see, so it was quickly seeming like it might not be worth it for me, but I'm old and lame, so ymmv. It's the early bird price + taxes/fees.
Just putting it out there, let me know if interested!
Yeah, I really should have made sure I was locked into the whole thing when I bought this pass, but just had a couple unexpected expenses pop up and it's just a roll of the dice with the same-time sets. Like, Lola Kirke playing at the same time as Tonstartssbandht and my buddy in the BQs (the BQ of the BQs) playing at the same time as Jeff Parker. Ah well. This year's lineup is so much better than whatever the hell they farted out last year. Kicking myself for making plans for this weekend.
I might be going to see Deerhoof in a week and that was pretty reasonable. And the Clientele ticket I ate a couple weeks ago wasn't much more than 20. It is a struggle unless I can walk/bike lately, though. There are still good shows out there for very reasonable prices. I have of Montreal, Screaming Females, and Dan Deacon all lined up and they were like $20/each. Smaller venues kick ass, but I also know I'm lucky to have easy access to a few small venues that pull solid acts.
They're not paying you NEARLY enough in my opinion.$100 for nosebleed Zach Bryan tickets? Oof
One of my fave bartenders is the new drummer! (I think)anyone gonna go see Superchunk at THAT Music Fest?
Don't sleep on Daikaiju - one of the best/wildest live shows I've ever seen. They are perfect in the late night spot.Posted on the music thread, but for only slightly more than the price of a nosebleed Zach Bryan ticket, you can have a full three day pass to Hopscotch for 150 if any of you Triangle/NC'ers are interested. is Jon Wurster not playing with them anymore? One of my fave bartenders is the new drummer! (I think)
Nope. He bowed out to concentrate on Mountain Goats and other stuff, I think; seemed like he just kind of lost the juice for Superchunk, which I get. Laura King has sat in with them a couple times, and one other dude, but saw a picture of Laura rehearsing with them the other day, so I think she may be the steady new person.is Jon Wurster not playing with them anymore?
