Yeah, when I brought up games in Mexico to my friend, he laughed and made it sound like that was not going to happen anytime soon because it made no financial sense to have them there.

In 20 years, if the games are must watch tv in both countries, maybe?
 
Revs sign Caleb Porter. He's won in a few places but I'll never forgive him for the US not qualifying for the 2013 Olympics. Stupid Sean Johnson howler.
 
And Toronto kind of HAS to pick the Canadian, eh?

I think Annor though is the most talented player in the draft. He's a little bit of a project in terms on physical conditioning to go a full MLS season, but he's who I would want at #1.

And to be quite honest, outside of maybe the top two guys and a GK or two, most of these guys will be playing MLSNextPro or whatever or USL.

I think you can end the draft now that teams are trading their 11th pick for $150k in general cap money. Just no value in the whole thing.
 
it is weird to me that nobody seems to even try to take the draft seriously when there have been some players that came through the draft even recently

i guess people just feel it's too random

100%. There are 3-5 players that will no doubt be MLS starters or contributors. I just don’t think scouts are grinding a September Lipscomb-Radford match over third division Argentinian match because of the limited scouting resources.

And at the end of the day, there are GKs in the draft who will be elite. I’m actually shocked more aren’t drafted in the first round.
 
I’m not sure what CLTFC is doing. Generally what them or the Panthers are doing. And obviously that’s not limited to today.

Tubbs was probably a top 3 pick, and a player to build ATL around, so this is a solid move for DC. They got him for super cheap. I’m not really sure what ATL was thinking here. Why not just keep him and see what happens?

every GAM/TAM transaction between teams 1. reaffirms how dumb the MLS roster construction rules are and 2. reaffirms that I have zero grasp of the GAM/TAM market
