After consolidating all of my music, I am now tasked with creating various playlists. Using shuffle on the entire library is not cutting it - I have too much classical interspersed.

Looking for good Beatles cover songs. I already have some standard stuff...

With a Little Help From My Friends (Joe Cocker)
While My Guitar Gently Weeps (Peter Frampton)
Oh! Darling (Florence and the Machine)
Across the Universe soundtrack
King's Singers (Beatles Connection)

What else is out there?

You absolutely have to get Happiness is a Warm Gun by The Breeders. One of my favorite covers of all time.

Stevie and Syreeta doing "She's Leaving Home."

Stevie also has a really good "We Can Work It Out."

My Morning Jacket bringing the goddamn ruckus. Oh shit. Old timer in front of me getting strong, oldest dude I've ever seen getting strong. Fuck yeah fuck yeah. Rock and roll.

Also, Booker T and the MGs did an album called McLemore Avenue that is a bunch of instrumental covers of Abbey Road.

Got my first record player this weekend... this is going to make music a much more expensive affair. Dropped like $200 on records today.

Was pumped to find a new copy of Neil Young's Tonights the Night

Rjkarl, do you still get strong? You could give this old timer a run for his money. This dude looks like the Deacon Nut, only fatter and stoned. Rjkarl, tell us about the last time you got baked, dude. We all want to hear that shit.

Jim James fucking owns.

I've said for a while that when I strike it rich I'll be picking up an expensive music habit. Although, it's starting to feel like the more I work for wealth the more I work, period. I may never have time for a music habit then. Shit sucks.
