Ended up not happening but there was the Danny O'brien situation where there was speculation that he wanted to follow Franklin to Vandy, which led to Edsall trying to block the transfer, getting blasted for it in the media, relenting on transfer restrictions and then accusing Franklin of tampering.

With some of the bigger private schools, its a lot easier to funnel athletes through large lectures with 50+ students then it is to do in a class of 20 at Wake. I think I had one lecture style class at Wake and maybe one other that was larger than 25.

Deacs move up to #4 in the rankings, Florida State falls to #7. HUGE game Thursday. UNC & UVA are 1 & 2 respectively. The ACC schedule is brutal but its nice that we get to play UVA, UNC and FSU all at Spry.

Down 2-0 at the half, Deacs come back to beat #15 Portland 3-2. 5-0-0 on the year.

Well our revenue sports might be in the toilet but our women's soccer team, ranked 7th, has started the season 4-0, beating Washington tonight in Portland 1-0 when Katie Stengal scored directly off a corner kick. They play #15 Portland Sunday before opening ACC play at home Thursday against #2...
