I think I actually prefer middle of the draft because then if there's a guy you really like, you can always have a decent shot at him without making an absolutely ridiculous reach.

If you like the guy ranked #50 and have the 20th pick, you have no chance at him and it'd be a waste to use your 20th/21st pick on him. But if you have a middle, you're never reaching nearly as much to ensure you get him.
