2017 College Basketball Coaching Carousel (Matta out at Ohio State)

Hadn't heard Prosser was a candidate for head coaching job but that is great to see.

Why is Ryan Clary so excited?

I suppose this is kinda in between those two -- Mullin hadn't been a coach at any level (though he was in a couple front offices), while Johnson had made the finals as an NBA HC

Maybe Sidney Lowe as another point of comparison? That really worked out well for State.

Sidney Lowe had a pretty large NBA resume, including two head coaching stints before he was hired at State. He wasn't successful in the NBA - .250 winning percentage. He did work for some well respected head coaches in the NBA. His time at State was reflective of his NBA coaching career - mediocre. No winning seasons in the NBA, no ACC league winning seasons. Two of his five seasons at State, the overall record was below .500 and one was just barely over (16-14)

Plus he never coached Carmelo Anthony or won with the matchup zone

Ernie Nestor retired from his job as assistant coach at Navy. He coached for 41 seasons. He was assistant coach at Wake twice, under Tacy and again under Odom.

Brad Brownell fired long-time assistant Mike Winiecki (Winiecki coached under BB at UNC-W, Wright State and Clemson). Brownell is feeling heat.

While hoop is an afterthought in Tiger Town, another bottom 1/3 of the ACC finish for the Tigers will mean the end for Brad Brownell at Clemson after next season.

He should have been canned this year.

The fact that he wasn't fired after this past season is amazing. Basketball at clemson really is just something to get them closer to football season.

Basketball fills the time between national championship game and the beginning of spring practice. national signing day is the pleasant interlude in that time. Sorta like seeing the first robin of spring.
