If Kentucky played in the Big 1(0)2 KU would not have won 13 in a row. Shit, if Florida played in that conference the Jayhawks wouldn't have won that many in a row. Other than the occasional good OU, Texas, K State, Baylor, even Iowa State teams the Big 12 is hardly better than the SEC has been. But I digress, I would never argue that White was the better coach (not until both have finished coaching). I'm daft, but not that daft. Just like White's coaching style and court presence way better.

But if you want to compare early careers, it's a no contest for Self. White's best at either LaTech or FL is making the NIT quarterfinals. Self made the Elite 8 at Tulsa and IL before making to KU.

White has a long way to ever getting close to being as good a good coach as Self was and is.

While I think I agree it's a pretty controversial take that White > Self, Self didn't make the tournament until his sixth season as a head coach. This is White's sixth season.

I don't care enough to compare the status of Oral Roberts as a program in 1993 (when Self took over) to the status of Louisiana Tech in 2011, but, strictly from an early career perspective, it is not remotely an open and shut case in favor of Self.

White's progression at Louisiana Tech was amazing (comparable to Danny's at Wake). #245 in Kenpom the year before he was hired, #192 in his first year, #83 in his second, #37 in his third.
 
The Big XII has been ranked higher than the SEC every single year of the 13 in a row.

We kind of deserve to be on the bubble for losing to this awful Clemson team twice. How did we lose to these donks twice??

How can Clemson 17-14, 6-12 ACC regular season possibly have been in position to receive a bid other than by winning the ACC tournament?
 
If you think Lunardi provides any kind of objective measure re: which teams will end up in the NCAA tournament you're deluding yourself.

He's an entertainer.
