Fire Bz Campus Grumble (Current Students/Staff)

for the "wtf is this tag" it's a way for students to anonymously complain about wake and they're technically supposed to read and fix the problems.....

Jeffy is a pretty damn big problem

I believe Campus Grumble was started by a Wake grad as well.

I mumbled that grumble, but just so we're clear, Wake students aren't going to do shit about dick. This is all about money, as long as the dumbass BOT are buying (literally) what Wellman is selling, Bzz is going to be here as long as Wellman keeps him.

I know I know I know.

Just think that every little bit could help

Nice to know some things remain the same at dear ole' WF.

And we have a place for parties called the barn now? WTF?

They built The Barn in response to the Great Wake Forest Pledge Night Massacre at the Millennium Center in 2010, when the fratties were severely "overserved". Six people were taken to the emergency room (tying up half of the ambulances in Forsyth County), and the county EMS director declared a public emergency and instructed police to close the event.

One of the theories behind building an on-campus party venue is that maybe students won't "pre-drink" to excess before they even get to the party, which is apparently what happened in 2010.

Everyone at WF is pleased as punch that they only had one person hauled to the hospital in an ambulance during the Pledge Night party this year, and that "incidents of vandalism" were down. (You really can't make this stuff up.)

Wasn't it the basketball program that had a culture problem?

HAHAHA those imbeciles refer to pregaming as "front end loading" in the official WFU administrative report. Also, I remember reading somewhere that Hatch referred to pregaming as "pre-loading." These fools couldn't be more out of touch on almost every level.

my favorite 'grumble' from that site has to be the person complaining that Winston doesn't have the same 'college-town' feel of Chapel Hill or Ann Arbor. you should have gone to UNC if you wanted to go to school in a college town moron

Do fraternities no longer have parties on campus on first floor of fraternity towers?

If I can locate a fraternity tower I'll check to see if there's a party.

There are lounge parties every now and then though, in all seriousness.

I am so damn old, I can't remember what the things were called. I guess lounge is what I meant. Do fraternities no longer occupy space in dorms?

Back in my day you wrote in chalk on the quad pavement! Grumble grumble grumble!

Agreed. Can't believe folks would actually think that.

More and more frequently I see on campus parties being hosted by organizations that bring in inordinate amounts of non-Wake students (typically ones that go to Winston-Salem State). What happened to checking university IDs at the door, as Greek organizations have to do? As a resident of Palmer Residence Hall, located quite close to the barn, I often feel very threatened when large numbers of off-campus guests (such as those brought in by the Black Student Association, for example) are roaming around my place of residence in large numbers without the apparent accompaniment of any Wake Forest students or faculty. They also often park illegally and have even blocked in my vehicle at one time.

Buzz is that you?
