Kearns Dismissed

I would hope the criteria for dismissal are independent of position. If not, Wake had the wrong coach. There are ways of managing the roster without using dismissal.

I haven't seen this to be true very often in any program at any level. How good you are always plays into punishment for "violating team rules."

Kearn's dismissal is the only departure that got an entry in the official site "news" so I suspect there is a message being sent to the team.

Other departed players just no longer show on the team roster.

Reminds me the story of jimmy johnson cutting a special teamer for falling asleep in a meeting. The reporter asked what he would have done if that were Troy Aikman - he said 'that's easy, I would have said hey Troy, wake up please'.

Seems like Kearns dismissal will not be an issue at all. I wonder if we didn't have the depth and quality of players/recruits we have at QB, would he have been dismissed? Does Cade Carney, or Jesse Bates get dismissed for same transgression that Kearns did?

Is there a double standard for players who produce? Should there by a double standard? Ask Bobby Bowden. I kind of agree with him. Make some plays or don't fuck up.
