Why the Quebec City love? Never even considered it.

The old, walled city and waterfront is a great spot. Very old-world vibe (if you're into that). Clean, lots of restaurants and shops and just generally pleasant to walk around/hang out. Plus there are some nice opportunities for outdoor stuff if you're willing to drive just a little out of town.
