After some uncertainty, there is going to be a league this year. There will be 6 teams, 3 games per night, 2 days per week (Mon/Th) and it will last until August 3rd. The league is under new direction this year, but I anticipate it being similar for the most part. Free admission as usual.

The teams haven't been picked yet but I will update the thread as any additional info is available. Obviously, this is the first chance to see the 7 new guys together so it should be pretty interesting to watch. The other BSD guys and I will do our best to give you some pretty good coverage.

Apparently the team sponsors won't be picking their team in the draft this year. The people running the league will divy out the players in an attempt to even out the teams.

Just to get it out of the way early: if our guys do well, it means nothing.

While it may not always convey well in post-game reports on the boards, if you are able to attend and see for yourself you will get a good idea of who will contribute and who won't.

The question is how should our guys be paired. We can only put two on the same team.

I remember there being a rule where the freshmen do not contribute to that number or something. So I think the organizers may be able to skew the 2-man rule with the frosh if they wish. That has happened a lot in the Carolina-Duke-State league in the past few years.

What are you talking about? Summer play gave us a sneak peak that Konner Tucker was going to contribute BIG at Wake.

If this is the case, how about these groupings:

CJ/Devin
Travis/Madison/Dre
Daniel/Codi/Tree
Chase/Moto/Cav

Summer League was fairly useful last year. For example, I think just about everyone there could see that CJ was going to explode this year, and Daniel Green was going to contribute little. I'm looking forward to it.

Will the Holcomb-Faye's have their dynasty still together?

oh man i can't wait for the redneck townies to come back to the boards to argue about the holcomb-fayes again. highlight of their lives outside of weekly wal-mart trips.

Not so sure I would call them rednecks though.
