Update 10:20 pm: A statement from the Nye County sheriff confirms that Odom was hospitalized after being found unconscious at the Bunny Ranch; however, he was transported to the Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas by ambulance, not airlifted, because he was too tall to fit in the helicopter.
 
Yeah if you're gonna go, that has to be at the top of the list. Were he and Eddie Griffin ever teammates? That would be the ultimate contradiction of ways to go - falling out in a brothel or getting hit by a train while whacking it.

This didn't take long. After the fifth game of preseason, Rajon Rondo is already having problems with another head coach. The Sacramento Kings beat the Los Angeles Lakers 107-100 on Tuesday, and then Rondo said that he and George Karl have been having some disagreements, via Manny Vieites of Cowbell Kingdom.

"It's not been going too well," Rondo said. "We got into a couple arguments the last couple days. Hopefully we continue to talk and get better."

This type of disregard for instruction also extends to Embiid’s dietary habits. Per a source, the Sixers’ training staff was so concerned about what he was eating, they stocked the refrigerator in his downtown hotel residence each week with healthy food. When a staffer went to restock the fridge each week, most everything was uneaten and unopened, and they were throwing out the fruits and vegetables every week. When the team subsequently asked to see Embiid’s room service bill, they found that most days he was ordering junk food along with his signature beverage, a pitcher of Shirley Temples. Embiid also was frequently seen feasting on chicken fingers and hot dogs at and after games.

That wasn't actually the worst thing Embiid did in that article, just the funniest. The part about him going to Vegas for summer league to party and refusing to wear his walking boot while shooting jumpers and dunking and possibly exacerbating his injury is amazing.

The Okafor pick was definitely a hedge against Embiid never playing meaningful basketball, but I really want things to work out for him. He's just such a man child.

I liked the uproxx take. It's not the worst vice a millionaire teenager could have, hotdogs and Shirley Temples. But it's also not great if you're the Sixers.
 
Yeah, the junk food stuff isn't that bad, I just love his signature beverage is Shirley Temples. But he just missed an entire year of basketball and he's blatantly disregarding rehab instruction? That's a bad sign, like he doesn't even GAF.
