Can't wait to see how things progress on this thread when we don't hire a coach until next week.

Something that could be a positive:

He's seen that first class through and now (hopefully) he feels ready to move on.
 
The opportunity to recruit Giles alone tops anything he'll be able to do at VCU.
 
I don't think it's too early to note that if we get Shaka, we would be crusing for Giles, and in turn cruising for some big times.
 
I'm trying to think of the most #WakeForest possible way for this to end. Maybe it leaks that Shaka accepted our job and is flying in from Richmond for the press conference, but the flight pulls a Malaysia 370 and is never seen or heard from again.

He agrees to the job, but Matta gets hired by Detroit. Shaka changes his mind at the last minute and becomes tOSU new head coach.
