Official UEFA Euro 2016 Thread

There's a whole lot of acting going on in this match. Fabregas had a solid phantom face injury a little earlier that got Pelle a yellow. I don't think Pella came within 6 inches of Fabregas' head.

Welcome to watching Spain, the flooper kings!

Italy is absolutely gassed. This match should be over, but De Gea has given Spain a lifeline and Italy is really feeling the effort. If they close this out it will be remarkable.

Eder and Pelle can barely move anymore after all the pressing they did, and now Spain can finally build from the back. It's amazing how that changed the flow of the match. Surprised Conte hasn't subbed one of them.

Dle Bosque gotta go. Spain have been figured out by the good teams

Tactical masterpiece. Italy really could have won this 4-0 and it wouldn't have been the wrong result. De Gea made this look much closer than it was for nearly the entire match.

Good thing they didn't sub Pelle :p

Better 2nd half by Spain and entertaining to watch, but from the games I've seen Italy play, they look like the best team.

Germany has never beaten Italy in a tournament match (really, it's true - they are Germany's absolute bogey team). They wanted NOTHING to do with them. Going to be tight butthole time in Deutschland leading up to the next match now.

England confirmed lineup: Hart, Walker, Rose, Smalling, Cahill, Sterling, Kane, Rooney, Sturridge, Dier, and Alli.

So Sterling is back in and Lallana sits for the first time.

Wonder if Lallana's iced foot from a few days back is more of an issue than they want to admit.

Or a more flat 4-3-3 with Dier holding and Rooney/Alli working out the balance of attack/defense between them? And Sterling left, Sturridge right, and Kane as the 9?

So after winning Euro-WC-Euro in 08-10-12, Spain out in group in WC 14 and out in Rd 16 in Euro 16.

Loew is the exception to the rule that you shouldn't keep the same guy in charge of a national team for more than 2 cycles.
