OMG HURRRICANE!!!!!!!111!!!!1

Probably should dock their pay accordingly, already overpaid part time workers, right!!

Wussification of America continues. Forsyth Co kids can work on their tans tomorrow.

Berger's next amendment: Schools can only close the day of a weather-related incident.

Probably should bus the kids to the coast and put their tiny hands to work filling sand bags, 2&2’s spawn first.

With CMS out the next two days, it's a perfect chance to get some beach time in down in Wilmington 2&2 - no reason to trust those forecasters. You should have the beach to yourself. Great family bonding time.

I get that 2&2's position isn't amazing, but you're often an insufferable twat.

Aren't some of these schools acting as shelters for evacuees? I feel like I've seen/heard that.

CMS just announced they are closed tomorrow and Friday. Are you fucking serious? For what? We are only 200 miles from the fucking coast, and it might rain here on Sunday. SO NO SCHOOL! So no work, gotta stay home to watch the kids. JFC.

CMS can't even fucking cancel school correctly. It's one of the best school systems in the state (just ask them) but sucks ass.

“With safety as a priority, the district considered security, maintenance, traffic and staffing needs at shelters as a part of the decision-making process. Very heavy traffic during evacuations is difficult to predict and could significantly impact and delay CMS transportation and other operations."

This was 2&2's position:

"By the time it makes landfall it will be a tropical storm whose only real effect will be a totally unnecessary shortage of gas and milk. Yet rubes fall for this shit every single time."

If there's no real effect other than an "unnecessary shortage of gas and milk" then he should avoid being a "rube" and head to Wilmington. Surfs up bro.

Forecasters have said for over a week now that Florence was going to hit the Carolinas and 2&2 is whining on here that forecasters can't get anything right until 24-48 hours prior to a storm hitting when we're literally talking about a difference of 75-100 miles of landfall (never mind that the impact of the storm necessitates evacuation for most of the NC/SC coast anyways). It's a stupid position and he does this every single time a storm comes.

Looks like these pictures automatically update in this thread. Little less in the Asheville area, Central VA now gets a deluge reacharound.

2&2 isn’t considering all the people that are probably evacuating to the Charlotte area that will majorly affect traffic and, like another poster said, places where the evacuees will go, like schools. It’s pretty lame to complain about a minor inconvenience in the long run when the city will host a lot of displaced people in the name of public safety.
