No Dempsey because he wants to have young strikers get a chance. So naturally Alan Gordon gets called.

Exactly. And isn't it time to start phasing out Beckerman and taking longer looks at younger guys in that spot?
 
Yeah, Beckerman was the other real big surprise for me. Personally I don't see what Orozco brings to the table now, and Mix gets called over similar but better performing players all the time.
