Romney backs increased military spending

well of course. That's the party line. Reality is a bit different, however.

Good. Our fleet hasn't been overhauled since Reagan. And it would actually create real jobs that exist in the real world as opposed to green jobs that don't really exist and won't for decades.

Probably because we already have the most advanced navy in the world, and there is no other superpower trying to match our military superiority.

China say hi, dingus.

So we need to gear up for war with China now? What territory are we going to fight them conventionally for, Taiwan?

Cut spending...cut spending....cut spending...

Oh wait...

I see the military-industrial complex has got a new boogeyman.

In truth, China is ramping up military spending. They're buidling carriers. But they can afford it. We can't. We're actually paying for their carriers.

There isn't a single navy in the world that would be able to compete with us over then quarter century.

especially since navies are way less relevant than they were last century, but whatever.

people in Maine are happy; bring those jobs to the (ship)'yard, motherfuckers

Christie stepped out of the race and Romney already started salivating at how much taxpayer money he could spend as President. Reminds me of people dreaming about winning the lotto in last night's The Office.
