Totally Unofficial Soccer Transfer Thread (NWT)

Speculation that Spurs may not have to pay Sissoko's full £30m price. It's in £6m annual installments and Tom Collomose at The Standard is reporting that if Spurs sell Sissoko, they can negotiate the remaining payments down. So if we keep him 2-3 seasons, we may end up paying NUFC around £15-20? Who knows? Would make it easier to swallow, though.

Huge spread from a 6.5 rating to an 8.

Glad Spurs aren't considered.

I'm still hoping this is fake:

Otherwise, what a bush league look, new guy. McCarthy sucks--he's barely sniffing the bench. In what world was it ever priority to make sure he was kept? Especially since we signed a player over him in Gueye (who is proving a world-class player), Davies is better and younger, and Besic will be back by Christmas.

If it's sour grapes over Sissoko punking out, oof. LOWF mentality there.

Except Man United earn the money they reinvest into the squad and Man City did it by winning the sugar daddy lottery. But yeah. Good point.

You're fortunate to have such a smart and committed ownership group.

Just you wait... we a cookin' something up!

I used to be concerned that United might sign a dynamic attacking player like Henrikh Mkhitaryan but for whatever reason, those fears proved unfounded.

Man Utd are happy to spend as much as £80m in order to capture Spurs forward Harry Kane, according to reports on Calciomercato.com

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp could turn to Red Bull Leipzig winger Emil Forsberg, reports the Daily Mirror.

Klopp may move for the Sweden international after Dortmund told the Reds they will not sell 18-year-old attacking midfielder Christian Pulisic.

ARSENAL JOIN N'ZONZI RACE

Arsenal have joined the race to sign Sevilla midfielder Steven N'Zonzi, says the Daily Express.

The Frenchman is also reportedly a target for the likes of Chelsea, Man City and Juventus.

The transfer window is of course now well and truly open for the month and West Ham fans will be hoping Dimitri Payet will still be at the club come the end of the January.

However, in case you missed this news we brought you late last night, French sports daily L'Equipe are reporting that Marseille are working on what it calls a "crazy project" to bring the midfielder back to the Stade Velodrome for a fee of between £25m and £35m.

Well, at least we know who Arsenal won't be signing.
