I'm holding out for prospects Tai Buster (overtime specialist) and Grant Beerman for the all-name team.

Signed Ty Clark III a RB from Nashville.
So if he signed, does that mean he is no longer a grey-shirt? So neither of the two guys (Clark or Reid) were grey-shirt. Something is up because Reid was supposed to be a grey shirt, didn't sign on early signing day, but then signed on Jan 15 and enrolled on Jan 16. How is a guy prepared to do that unless the coaches told him he wasn't actually going to greyshirt?

According to this website, a HS recruit can sign a LOI and still grayshirt:

"Grayshirting" is a term used in the recruiting process to describe situations in which a student-athlete delays initial enrollment in a collegiate institution to the winter or spring term after the traditional academic year begins. Student-athletes who "grayshirt" often use the fall term to take part-time classes or choose to not enroll in college at all. "Grayshirting" is not a formal designation by the NCAA or the NLI program. If you decide to delay your initial enrollment provided you were eligible to enroll, your NLI remains binding. If a coach or the institution's admission office asks you to delay your enrollment and you were eligible to enroll, the institution is obligated to honor your athletics aid if you wish to attend the institution. Should you want to attend another NLI member institution due to the coach or institution delaying your enrollment, your NLI will be declared null and void.

However if that is true, not sure why WF waited before Clark submitted his NLI.

As I recall 2 recruits did not sign in December. What happened to them?
Elijah Reid signed his NLI and will not grayshirt.
TImmy was just asking if Ty Clark will no longer grayshirt now that he signed his NLI this week.

BTW, if college recruiting wasn't confusing enough, we now have both NLI and NIL...

My best guess is that an additional currently enrolled player will complete graduation requirements and not play football for Wake in 2024.

Maybe eventually they’ll be largely interchangeable, as you won’t really have an NLI without some NIL anyway.

I haven't kept up with the thread well, so these may be repeats, but Ryan Henley and Zach Zinger out of Charlotte Christian signed letters of commitment yesterday. I would guess that both are PWO status.
