It's going to take Wake fans some time adjust to having really good players in reserve roles.

While this is true, people don’t usually transfer schools in order to have a reserve role

If you have 2 good catchers you don't need to have one in a reserve role. if they can rake you can rotate them behind the plate and at DH.

Yes and no. I think that is true of lateral moves. For "moves up" they might transfer for a better degree, more opportunity, etc.

Isn't the Wofford catcher a grad transfer though? So very possible he is mainly looking to tack on a grad degree of some sort at a reduced cost while being part of a top 10 team. Guessing pro baseball is not likely in his future at this point unless he were to really blow up like JJ.

They do if they were told what their role is. I think a ton of folks would transfer to Wake from a mid-major if they were told they could play in 25-30 games and go to Omaha.

I have 0 read on Costello. It feels like Cecere is likely moved on, and it seems the decision is mutual. Just consider him graduated.
