Out of the 8 great-grand & grandparents that I was alive to meet only two of them were called anything with grandma/pa in it. My great grandparents were Nana & Poppy and my grandparents are Memom & Bebop.

Various mismash of ethnicities:
Gramma/Dziadziu
Mamama/Ajja

When I was a kid mine were Grammy/Grampy on both sides.

Mom-Mom and Gran (Mom's parents)

Poppie and Grandma (Dad's parents)

I've always wanted to go off the reservation with the grandparents' names. I think I'm going to teach our peanut to call my in-laws Bebop and Rocksteady.

One of my exes called her grandma "Oma" and it drove me crazy. Strange names for grandparents just sounds weird out of someone's mouth over the age of 20.

Did I date you? (It's German for Grandma, btw.)

just remembered that we all called my great-grandmother "Butta." I have NO idea where that came from, and now that I think about it--its a little weird.

Mawmaw and Pawpaw/Nana and Poppy or Popup.

My grandparents are all dead, but the one living one I called Granny.

Granny (because she's cool and sweet)

and

Grumpy (because he's a bad ass old dude)

My kids
BaBa maternal GM (Susan don't know how this came about)
Ron maternal GF (Ron is his name)
Dee Dee paternal GM ( Donna is her name)
"A" paternal GF (Andrew)
