What's The Real Story...

Wish Wright would turn into Landers Nolley. Similar kid out of h.s. A 6'5" guard who wasn't quite ready. Redshirted and he is now a silky smooth shooting guard for VT.

Both kids have athleticism and with coaching could have improved. I think they will both be gone next year. Short bench has served us well so far. DM with less pieces to mismatch.
 
Landers Nolley was a top 100 player. Wright was top 300.
 
Sharone showed some good potential last year. He’s been buried on the bench this year now that White is eligible and Neath is taking more backup pg duties. He could be a solid role player on a decent team later in his career if he can keep his head on straight.

Given the pitiful state of the trash heap called WF b-ball where no one cares is it really appropriate to call it “premium”. Like no one wants that info. Maybe rename to discount?

Wasn't thinking of ranking as much as readiness and the growth in height. (Many thought Wright would grow to about 6'7" or 8".) Both were also offered by UGa.

Here's a quote from 247 on Nolley after he flipped to VT from UGa:

"His all-around game has steadily improved in recent years, but there's still a lot of work to do in order to become a high-end asset. He must also continue adding more power to his 6'4'', 175-pound frame in order to succeed at the collegiate level."

Nolley actually benefited (physically) from the NCAA finding him ineligible last year. He might not have played much anyway but would have taken some of the minutes that Chris Clarke would have had if he hadn't been suspended the entire year.

Wright is as tall as Kobe Bryant, just needs to fill out a bit.
