Seventy percent of Americans think enacting new gun control laws should take precedence over protecting ownership rights, according to an ABC News/Ipsos poll out Sunday.
…
The big picture: On the flip side, 29% of respondents believe protecting the right to own a wide variety of guns should be a higher priority than enacting new gun control laws, the poll suggests .
The gap between the two positions has widened by 9 points since March 2021, when the same poll found that 66% of people favored new gun control laws, while 34% preferred protecting gun ownership rights.
Make senators vote. Another thing Americans overwhelmingly agree on. We should have had votes all weekend following Bidens speech for each of the solutions most Americans are in favor of.
Agree. Take it a step further. Take every item of every solution the Democrats have proposed since January 2021 and bring each of them to a vote. Make each item of their platform clearly show a yes or no for every member of Congress. Any item with public polling support of 60% or greater becomes a campaign issue. The Dems won't win any of the votes but everyone in Congress is on record. Clearly show a report card for everyone in Congress on all the issues that a large majority of the public supports as a campaign issue. Leave no doubt why those issues have not become legislation. Gun control and the environment are obvious leaders.
This. Shine a light on how out of touch Republicans are on the issues. Shift the narrative.

If only El Salvador had more restaurants that gave their customers diarrhea and where the servers carried guns as a novelty.
