Something overlooked about Poulters record in foursomes and fourballs is that he almost always had a superb "A" for a partner (Rose, Donald, McIlroy). He's only ever been asked to clearly be the alpha dog once with Ross Fisher in 2010 and he lost.

He isn't going to carry Gallacher to a win.
