He's a freshman in terms of experience in these situations. How many times has he played in games with the game on the line?
This may be the most incredulous statement ever made on these message boards. We have a junior here who has played in basically all of our games, not some first year frosh who has never played. Not to mention these guys have played in numerous spring-summer AAU games from the time they are 10 years old so Cody probably has 1000 games under his belt counting high school and college basketball. This was just atrocious loose ball handling in a situation where the worse case scenario was overtime at worst. These guys practice these situations over and over in practice so there is really no need for a timeout. You want to catch Clemson unprepared for our play and we know what to run in this situation. Cody was just loose with the basketball and got it stolen from him. Then of course we did a terrible job of blocking out on the last shot and got ourselves in bad rebounding position to let them get the stickback. We have to learn how to win but have faith as the troops are coming.
