Video Game Thread - $70 Zelda Expansion!

Saw on Facebook where Kernersville GameStop had dozens of switches in stock as of yesterday. Fresh shipment just arrived.

Played Ring Fit for the first time yesterday. I got a good workout comparable to the workouts I usually do. It does a great job of forcing you to use tempo instead of just blazing through.

Finished Tsushima. Loved it. The short load times really help the experience and are making me look forward to the next gen consoles.

Tried Watch Dogs 2 after -- could not get into it and gave it up after 4 or so hours. Really clunky.

Now trying to get back into RDR2. It's turning a corner for me, I think -- starting to get into it.

I snatched up The Outer Worlds on sale last night, along with the Borderlands 1/2/Pre-sequel remasters. All look like a lot of fun.

90 days later and I still haven't touched Outer Worlds because I'm 150 hours deep into the Borderlands series. These games are just insanely fun. And my fiancee has given her approval for naming our future first dog Butt Stallion.

That Mario Kart Live looks dope as hell

The main thing my 8 year old and I have been talking about at bedtime is what the 35th anniversary Mario games will be. Last night we were talking about when Mario Kart 9 will come out. This beats it.

We have three switches and we will be getting that game.

With cameras mounted so you get the over the shoulder view like you do when you play Mario Kart

And the cars react to items when you throw them.

So yeah, like remote control cars but amazing. I’ve been imagining my house as one long course for the last few hours. My wife has been wanting to replace some of our carpet with tile. I’m all in now.

FYI, Tony Hawk remake is out. The intro video is set to Guerrilla Radio and the title screen plays Superman. They got this right. Buy it.

The idea of re-scanning in the original cast of skaters who now have middle aged dad bods and paunches is so fucking genius

Nintendo announced a new Hyrule Warriors game that is also a prequel to Breath of the Wild. This game takes place during the Great Calamity, 100 years before the events of Breath of the Wild. You get to play as the Champions and use the Divine Beasts.

This isn't the forthcoming Breath of the Wild sequel either.

is hyrule warriors a Dynasty Warriors style game?

Nintendo is developing it with the studio that makes Dynasty Warriors, so it sounds like it. Wonder if it'll be analogous to Cadence of Hyrule being developed from Crypt of the NecroDancer
