That’s not really true. Majority of game has had either Mitchell or Thompson manning the 4. If we don’t want one of them in the game, there is no choice but to let Brown be a 4.
 
Ha, down 4 Katz says "This is where Crawford needs to take over and make good decisions."

Crawford goes hero ball and charges for a turnover. They hit a 3 on the other end to probably seal it.
