Tennessee's fan base is delusional. We should bring John Currie home. Many of us have been wanting it for years. Now is our chance. Wellman should do the right thing and retire at the end of the year and name Currie the next AD now before some smart institution scoops him up again.

Reputation is a huge part of being an AD and Currie will always (right or wrong) be associated with this debacle.

Well, Tennessee will be paying Currie for a while, and he won't have any other suitors; so, the price would never be any lower.

You can buy a lot of property near Chernobyl, but that doesn't mean you should.

What do you like about him? Why should the average Wake fan who knows nothing about athletics department administrators agree with you? You're a lawyer, bro - back up your position.

All of tenn's sports kind of suck now......

Rick Barnes has the TN hoop team playing well. The Vols play at the Joel in 3 weeks. Guessing Currie and Wellman arranged that game so that they could hang out a little; turns out, they can hang out a lot.

Currie had nothing to do with this debacle. It is being reported that Fulmer has been sabotaging the coaching search in hopes of becoming the AD himself.
Currie is not one of Wellman's "yes" men. A break from the Wellman Manifesto would be a welcome change.

Tennessee will owe Currie = 5.4 million. I think Currie wins, and he doesn't have to deal with those the KNUTS in KNOXVILLE.

He clearly had SOMETHING to do with the debacle. He opted to first go with Schiano, who the fan base didn't think was a good hire, and I doubt Fulmer was able to sabotage the search to an extent that six different coaches turned him down.

Currie loses if for no other reason than nobody will ever forget that Currie was fired as Tennessee AD due to one of the worst hiring debacles in the last couple decades.
