thinking we need state and the semifinal game. Can't win 3 if you don't win the first.
 
Great win for the Deacs. Mike Martin definitely stayed too long at FSU. His team's talent has clearly dissipated and he has become a human rain delay. College baseball and softball need speedup rules.

It felt damn nice to beat him in his last ACC Tournament.

What happens if we lose to State and FSU beats State? Does it come down to run differential? If so, I really wish we wouldn't have left 74 men on base yesterday.
 
state would advance. Tie goes to the higher seed. FSU is now eliminated, yet they have to wait around for 3 days to play a meaningless game.

True for purposes of the ACC Tourney, but the game is not meaningless for FSU on a grander scheme as they are not a lock for an at-large. A win over State would help FSU's cause.

That's a comically dumb format, indeed then. Why'd they go away from the double elimination format from the past? Too difficult for some reason with more teams?

The concern was that is was taxing the pitching staffs of the teams right before the NCAA tourney
 
#12 seed (the last seed to make the field) BC won Pod A with wins over #8 Clemson and #1 L'ville. The Eagles have advanced to the ACC Semis. Are heading to WF v. BC ACC CG?
