Wake-Virginia Tech Game Thread

Anyone have a replay of the last play? Would like to see how Cav missed a wide open layup.

Or if you're down 3 and need a 3 point shooter. Definitely not if the ball is going to be in the hands of your best scoters going to the basket down 1.

Poor coaching but that's what we've come to expect. CMM, CJ, Rountree, Travis, and Devin on both ends was the right play.

Okay, we all realized that Cav should have made that shot, but to be so confident that any one else on the team makes that layup obviously hasn't been watching any of our games. Heck, even Devin missed several bunnies earlier today. Live and learn. Hopefully necxt time the pressure won't get to Cav.

The same way Thomas dunked that drive down the lane where he blew the open layup and then missed the first free-throw? We lost because we have bad players and an even worse coach.
 
No other AD in Division I would tolerate this nonsense beyond this season. But WF will.

Have we won a single game in Blacksburg since they joined the league? I remember thinking that we should absolutely dominate them in hoops. Not so much.

Tighten the rotation. Chase and Cavanaugh should be in only if we need an additional shooter/foul trouble.

Hopefully the media references that in future Bz articles. That's something that has to embarrass Wellman if he saw it. I have never seen a coach so pouty in a postgame handhake. More combative or confrontational yes, but not more pouty and pissy.
 
I don't understand Thomas and rountree not in there. Maybe he was afraid Thomas would get fouled. Chase though should be on the bench. I want a two man game with Travis and cj and that's it. I guess fisher was the third option which when you coach in the nba that makes sense as a play. In this situation though cj is going all the way and we need rebounding. Buzz has really done a good job with our half court sets. I think we are better than at any time since odom. But we are not good shooters and his lineup choices are not good.
 
Bz would rather lose than win the WRONG way. Ain't no hotdoggers on a [Redacted] team! We're gonna do things the Wellman way...I mean Wake way!

- we got exactly what we wanted
- put tyler in there instead of Deven to space the court so we could open up the lane
- thought we did a good job on Green
- one of those deals where we didn't convert at the end
- CJ struggled shooting, had great looks, put it in his hands, so be it.
- coming out of the half, didn't want to just settle for shots
- cj took it to the rim and passes to Moto and he jacks it
- always wanted to make sure we had two guys in front of green every time
- he goes coast to coast and rim to rim, that's born out of inefficient offense
- during timeout we said no 3's, but we were soft on him, allowed him to raise
- I told our players, the effort, everything was great, we need to convert around the rim
- no pity parties here, if you are going to hang your head it's going to be tough
 
How Chase sees more minutes than Tree is beyond me. Chase is absolutely useless.

What do you want? For him to be all smiles? Then you would complain that he doesn't care. I am Bzzout too, but complaining about every single thing cheapens it after a while.
 
That's just a pathetic no-call at the end. CJ's going to dunk it, guy hits him and alters his shot gets no ball whatsoever - no call. Cav rushed the put-back but that happens, doesn't deserve the beating he's taking. Kid played hard all game after taking a Moto elbow to the face.

CJ missing 4 wide open 3's was painful. Shot 37% and still should have won the game.

When is Codi going to realize how good he is?
