Selection Sunday Thread

I bet Ron was pushing for Iona at 8 or 9.

"They're really good guys! Seriously."

This bracket is almost as big of a train wreck as Wake Forest basketball. Jesus.

Well, Woods and Chenault get something they never would have gotten playing at Wake. An NCAA Tournament game.

Woods can lean on that Cleveland State experience.

Wellman isn't chair until next year.

We should get some of the rabid angry fan bases of teams screwed by the bracket to help us shit on Wellman.

You serious Clark? This is by far the most convoluted/random bracket in recent memory.

Examples?

Pac-12 seeding might be a little surprising, but there weren't any great teams in that league. Oregon didn't schedule anyone in the non-conference which the committee loves to punish

I'm beginning to wonder if Wellman isn't having a Lute Olson style bout with dementia.

Oh yeah kinda blocked that one out. Well, he gets a 2nd chance that never was going to happen at Wake.

They won their conference and beat UNLV at their place , all while getting seeded 7 seeds below them. They pitted Cal as a 12 seed playing in their home. Makes 0 sense.

Lots of dumb stuff. Golden rule number one is no 1st round rematches. Can't ever remember them breaking that rule.

The Cal at home is pretty whack, I'll give you that

Cal-UNLV played this year already too.

Oregon at 12, UNC at an 8, a lot of the lower teams (Iona at a 15???). Pitt at an 8 is bad imo too.

Great jobs getting the right teams, horrible job seeding them.

A lot of the time the bitching about brackets is stupid. This year this is not the case, the bitching is completely warranted. The seeding is ridiculous I'm looking forward to seeing the S-curve.

Iona as a 15 seed is really, really bad. The committee probably just thinks all bad teams are the same...Iona isn't even that bad. They're better than a solid dozen teams in the tournament.
