Basketball Transfers - Chase 1st to Leave, Others...?

Vander was bothered by messages posted about him, but that wasn't the main reason he decommitted from UW-Madison. Vander was wants to go to the NBA and thought Marquette was a much better place for him to show off his NBA talent than in Bo Ryan's Swing Offense. He was also told straight up that he would play sparingly as a freshman and would have to put in a large commitment to defense and academics to play at Wisconsin. All of this rubbed Vander the wrong way and he decided going to Marquette was a better option for him.

Do elaborate. I recall a certain rumor about Travis McKie transferring last season. How many fans do you know that don't want him here?

I would prefer that he was graduating over CJ. If he's the primary option in our offense, we are doomed for another sub .500 season. IMHO.

filled with blind hate regarding what?

- you throw vander blue out as an example that we shouldn't talk bad about recruits.
- you talk bad about one of our recruits.

so what is it, we can't talk bad about recruits? or only you can talk bad about recruits?

since rj won't respond to you unless you are quoted

whatever. It was clearly the mean people on the message boards that pushed him away, not the coach, playing style, playing time, and academics.

If you are going to be outraged about the impact that the message board has on the team, recruits, etc., then you should never say anything on the message board that could be interpreted that way.

Then why the fuck did he originally commit to play there? Pretty sure those aren't new developments in Madison.

Looks like I'm transferring my 30+ year WF fandom allegiance- GO DAVIDSON WILDCATS!

Well, one thing is certain. YOU can't talk badly about our recruits, what with your blind hate and all.

Every damn one of them should transfer for their own good. Get the hell away from [Redacted].

If my son was on the team, I would encourage him to transfer away from this head coach.

Everybody should transfer now. Like holy wjtgutsnlwab. Who would possibly want to play for this idiot.

Vander grew up in Madison and always wanted to play for the school he grew up watching so he committed early before really understanding the entire situation. He figured out that he hadn't really thought the decision through and that Bo Ryan wasn't going to let him do whatever he wants so he changed his mind and went to a school still in Wisconsin where he would have less academic pressure and have more freedom to play basketball his way.

You mean it wasn't because some anonymous person posted something mean on a message board? Wow.

Sounds like a pretty dumb kid.
