I had this last year. Got my first bill this year (payment 1 of 6 for $37.50....$225 total after 6 payments). Although I liked it last year I don't think I will have the time to watch much this year. So I called to cancel and the guy immediately say "how about 5 payments of $29.99 ($150 after all is said and done).
I did not do it but you may want to give it a shot if you are subscribing this year.

Free mobile/laptop version with a preorder of Madden Anniversary Edition. I'm guessing Chromecast will get it on your TV.

I saw a link on the Panthers board a few days ago to a deal where if you want to watch the games immediately after they finish it's cheap. Here's the thread:

Watch the full season minus the playoffs and super bowl for $39.99, watch just your team for $29.99, or watch the whole season including playoffs for $69.99. One thing I like is that they offer condensed games with no commercials that are only 30 minutes long.

By the way, I think this is going to be pretty cool:
NBC Sports Group and the Dallas Cowboys are partnering on a new 360-degree look at red zone plays for TV viewers and fans attending the game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, this season.

The network will use 24 high-speed cameras — 12 in each red zone on both sides of the field from the 20-yard line to the goal line and in the back of each end zone — to produce seamless views of the action.

“Sunday Night Football” producer Fred Gaudelli said the system will give fans a new perspective on big plays during games. The 360-degree view will debut on the Sept. 8 broadcast of the New York Giants-Cowboys game.
The system, known as FreeD or free dimensional video, will be used for the Oct. 5 Notre Dame-Arizona State game, and the Oct. 13 Washington Redskins-Cowboys game at the stadium.

Fans in the stadium will see red zone replays on the scoreboard at all Cowboys home games, as well as on the team’s local programming during the season.

“You can now move all the way around the play without changing the camera angle,” Gaudelli told the Television Critics Association on Saturday.

He compared the view to what it’s like playing a video game.

Gaudelli said it takes a month to install the system, so NBC had to put it at a stadium where the network knew it would televise at least twice during the NFL season.

The effect will be similar to what you see in the video below, only it'll be 360 degrees with cameras on both sides.

Yeah, except it's fucking awful to watch sports if they're not live.

We had cut cable and I had looked into this deal as well. I can't imagine watching a condensed game (~30 minutes) rather than 3 hours on Sunday.
