Is Gravity worth seeing? I saw Captain Phillips this weekend; wifey loved it but I wasn't that impressed. Poor man's Zero Dark Thirty IMO.

What are some cool gift you've given your parents (or older wealthier people) for Christmas? Siblings are a lot easier (video games, nice shirt etc etc) but I feel like parents can buy whatever they want so it requires creative thinking of which I have little. Last year I saw that Marquee Moon thread on Westvleteren 12 beer so I got a case for the dads and they loved it; not sure how I'm going to top that this year.
 
Yo HP - were you at The Macintosh on Saturday night? I was trying to scout the crowd to see "who is mostly likely to be HP" while enjoying some dinner, but I didn't really come up with anyone I might peg for you.

Good tickets to a sporting event, good liquor + good cigars, take them out to a nice dinner, etc.
