What can we all do?

"Their hatred of him is because of his asinine policies his first 2 years in office. He and the Congress that supported his policies are the reason the Tea Party exists."

I don't think you have the timeline right.

So no, we're not doing my simple vote out every single incumbent rule?

I'll be happy to vote out my incumbent.

How so? The majority of them got elected because of what happened in 2008 and 2009.

how is arguing over what started the Tea Party a meaningful discussion? it's like the argument that black people should vote Republican because Lincoln was a Republican, or against Democrats because Strom Thurmond was a Democrat. What matters is what they are actually doing in office. And what they are doing is uselessly trolling the national economy.

The original post in this thread was that we should vote against every single incumbent congressman to protest the recent happenings. Numbers stated that he only wants to vote out the Republicans. That doesn't make any sense, as the Dems are just as responsible for this mess, because their actions are what directly spawned the Tea Party. Somehow, he disagrees: apparently, the Tea Party was waiting in the weeds as a sleeper cell all this time, and just by conincidence they sprung to life right after a shit sandwich of policies were enacted.

As you said, what matters is what they are actually doing in office. And what the Dems have actually done in office has directly given rise to the Tea Party. If Welman's actions directly resulted in [Redacted] being hired, then he is just as, if not more, at fault than [Redacted].

As a result of the lies they told like "death panels", "can't use your doctor, "will ruin America" and many other such lies the astroturf TP benefactors spent well over $100M brainwashing the ignorant with for as long as it took to get their way.

The perfect example of this was last week when every person was asked liked ACA, but each of them hated Obamacare.

Well luckily for us, the truthspeakers were around to influence those who helped get us Obamacare.

It sure got much worse after 2010.

No, you just started getting offended by it. As noted in the story, the 12th was originally declared Unconstitutional. That has yet to happen with any district drawn by the Republicans.

Every time I don't think you can do stupider and more outrageous than your last post, you prove me very wrong.

Where is the evidence that the Dem drawn 12th District wasn't declared unconstitutional? Can you prove that I'm incorrect, or do you just smear people in the face of provable facts? I'd offer you the Mitt Romney $10,000.00 bet but I don't money from people in your condition.

It's a fact. You're only lying to yourself.

Ph is right. His policies have been asinine for much longer than two years.

So according to 2&2, the Democrats are equally responsible for the government shut down, because they passed legislation 3 or 4 years ago that extreme conservatives didn't like, which led to the Tea Party terrorists getting elected? That makes sense.

Politicians get voted out of office for what they did yesterday, not what they did 5 years ago. Many democrats paid for their ACA sins in 2010, at the state and federal level. Nonetheless, the ACA has now survived five years of increasingly desperate and decreasingly democratic attempts to get rid of it. All the Democrats who screwed up in 2008, in the opinion of their constituents, have paid the piper already. Those who remain, remain because a majority of their constituents approve of the job their doing (or at least, have not been offered a better alternative).

Now we have a bunch of Tea Party idiots who shut down the government and came close to derailing the nations credit, for absolutely no measurable outcome. In the process, they have exposed their prescription for America, which is slashing taxes on the wealthiest while slashing spending on the least fortunate to pay for it. They had their chance, and now it's their turn to pay the piper.

You are proving my point. Their hatred of him is because of his asinine policies his first 2 years in office. He and the Congress that supported his policies are the reason the Tea Party exists.

False. Republicans have hated him ever since he started running and they realized he was going to dethrone Hillary.

Yep that's it
