2014 FB Recruiting Thread: Signing Day is this Wednesday!

Sell house/buy house, relocate family/kid's schools, pack/unpack, hire coaches, recruit-recruit-recruit....YIKES !

Clawson has got to be exhausted. I'm guessing he's putting in 15-hour days times 7. Gonna need to take 3-4 days in Bermuda or someplace to chill with the family.

More power to them. This is great to hear.

Seemed like we got very lazy in recruiting. Like Grobe and Co. were much more willing to offer kids who came to our camp or initiated interest than to actually get out there and pound pavement.

We weren't lazy in making excuses for why we couldn't recruit, though.

And Lectro and others surely weren't lazy in building up recruits.

2014 FB Recruiting Thread: Going for 25

I feel like it's going to be a fun signing day.

Hopefully no one pulls a Haas.

I spoke with one of the former staff's assistant coaches in Chicago during one of the coaches tours and he said after I asked him about recruiting that "there was nothing as overrated in college football as recruiting," or something to that effect. I was stunned and it makes sense that the former staff put so little energy into it given that attitude.

Sounds like they really bought into that "more with less" BS.

He looks good, but he's playing against a bunch of scrubs in 3A florida football. Probably why he doesn't have any offers

Northern Arizona, Princeton, Wake Forest

Yeah, I'm not going to get too excited.

Former Vanderbilt commit, WR Kameron Uter 6'4 210 will visit Wake either this weekend or next!

Clawson really seems to be going after the skill position guys.

Because they looked at tape and RB and WR are glaring weaknesses.

Uter's Hudl film is fun to watch. Great size, very good shiftiness for his size. Aggressive blocker. Some real nice blocks on screen passes. Not great speed, but good for his size and what he'd likely be asked to do.
