Either way...President Hatch will be in DC tomorrow for the event along with a lot of other senior adminstration. Rumors that Coach Clawson will be also be making an appearance.

I think Biff might be on to something about Calipari. The Knick job will open up and if they don't hire Steve Kerr, Phil might go after Cal and start the ball rolling with UK opening up.

FWIW. I mentioned this earlier in the thread - VCU has not always put out a statement (See Tennessee, VA Tech, etc.). It's ridiculous to have to address every single job rumor that pops up. The school had no choice in the MU matter with all the local Milwaukee TV stations running with him being hired, MU blogs, etc. For me, at least, I saw the signs he was staying when he reassured our incoming 2014 class along with the posting of his basketball camp summer dates last week (I posted this on our site).

If that is verified, it is much more telling than whatever rumor Dan heard on the practice field. And would, I think, fuel backlash if an unproven coach is hired.

Little late to the party on this one, but I can vouch for the person who was at that Law Board of Visitors meeting last week with Hatch. Whatever was reported is what Hatch said.
