Phil is rumored to want Steve Kerr as the Knicks coach, which makes sense. I think Calipari's underrated as a coach -- it's impressive the way he gets guys playing unselfishly and coordinated as a team with constant roster turnover. But Phil is so tied to the triangle offense that I can't see him hiring Calipari.

If true, there's no way UK keeps its coaching search as quiet as RW has kept ours. It'd shake-out some people who might be interested in leaving their current gigs that we weren't aware of, and who might be willing to make a move to WFU for the right amount of money if they don't get the UK job.

The school had no choice in the MU matter with all the local Milwaukee TV stations running with him being hired, MU blogs, etc. For me, at least, I saw the signs he was staying when he reassured our incoming 2014 class along with the posting of his basketball camp summer dates last week (I posted this on our site).

Well, if we can't have him, I hope Shaka at least goes somewhere outside of the ACC.
 
LeVelle as an assistant under a home run hire so he could recruit some dudes and then take an upper-level midmajor job seems like a great career move to me, but I also think taking the Wake job and our Brinks truck is a great career move, so what do I know.
 
It's to the point where I'm gleaning hope from the fact that Aminu wouldn't have tweeted that if he'd heard Smart already turned us down, and that since he did tweet that, maybe Aminu knows or has heard that Smart hasn't yet done so. Good Lord has it really come to this.
