Wolf of Wall Street

Why are all these dudes gay? are female celebrities that shitty?

I'm not going to lie: this movie made me very curious about ludes.

Has anyone ever tried one?

Some interesting pinball games in Reynolda after doing ludes. They were also fun with the Lady Deacs.

Just saw it; the three hours went very fast and Jonah and Leo were both awesome. But not Best Picture material in my mind. That would go to American Hustle.

Just saw this and agree with what most people say. I enjoyed it and the three hours went by quick. I personally thought it was pretty hilarious. Leo and Jonah killed.

wolf of wall st= child's movie heeee heee basically dumbass (Leo is the man though)

American hustle= adult movie. Actors. story. real. That was a fucking good movie

Saw it today and thought it was great. Leo's second wife is amazing. Still haven't seen American Hustle so will need to see that next.

Saw it last night and thought it was great. Right up my alley with all the f-bombs and gratuitous boobage and beaverage. I also thought it was fucking hilarious to the point where it really came off as more of a comedy. The aforementioned scene at the country club and the brainstorming about midgets (was that ad-libbed?) were great. Barely recognized Walking Dead Shane all guidoed out like he was.

Those of you with moral reservations about this film must be a drag to hang out with. It's a fucking movie. Enjoy the story. It already happened, so there's nothing you can do about it. Go with the flow.

I loved the scene where the guys are sitting around the desk talking about hiring dwarves for the company party and trying to determine what they could, or could not, have them do. So hilarious!

Finally saw this. My S/O almost walked out. Great job by Leo but hard to watch otherwise. If I had seen this at 12 it would have fucked my world up.

why?

we finally watched this past weekend. i thought it was really well done, and super entertaining because it's just SO far removed from anything at all about my life. thought the country club scene was fantastic, really liked matthew mcconaghey (however you spell him) in his small roll, and jonah hill was great.

Basically the same template as Goodfellas. I thought I was watching Goodfellas at a couple of points..

Enjoyable but Scorsese totally mailed it in.

Speaking of which I have seen quite a few people my age on Facebook referencing the ideology of the guys from this movie in regards to their owns lives. "Average fucking sucks!" is the one I see the most. In one specific case a guy fell full on into a pyramid scheme called "Vemma". It's a health drink company where you buy into it by ordering "samples" so you can sell them to your friends and/or have them become "salesmen" for Vemma, in which case you receive "incentives" for every person you "sign up." Anyways he has managed to rope in quite a few rubes around our age and is constantly posting pictures of Leo from this movie with Jordan Belfort quotes. Just goes to show how utterly lost my generation is...

I doubt he fell into a pyramid scheme because of Jordan Belfort.

the irony is that these are probably the exact types of donks that belfort sold pennystocks to in the first place

Basically the same template as Goodfellas. I thought I was watching Goodfellas at a couple of points..

Enjoyable but Scorsese totally mailed it in.

Goodfellas = Casino = The Departed = Wolf Of Wall Street

They're all kind of the same template, but that template works. Note that American Hustle also used that template, but it didn't feel the same because Russell is not Scorcese.

I forgot to add in my post that I also thought this was Leo's best performance to date.

Leo was great. The tits and ass were great. Jonah Hill was pretty good. The movie, as a whole, sucked.

American Hustle. Great music. Way too long. Music covers up the really boring parts. Should have been a crisp 110 min movie.

At first I didn't understand why J-Law had won the Oscar but holy CRAP she turned it on the 2nd half. Also the cock tease of Amy Adams itty bitties the whole movie was frustrating!

Question: Was the wife in on the hustle the whole time too?

Louie CK should stick to comedy. Poor guy, he did his best. Reminded me of Rickles in Casino.
