Mafia: Mafia wins!

I just said it was unlikely. :noidea:

Considering even the HOF terps around here got raped by the mafia and never really tabbed DWD or Island, I wouldn't crow about #wakeboard stuff.

Also, Knight was citizen LVP

No question. I don't know what Knight was doing there at the end.

damo, how did you nail me and Smoove so early? You did the only good work for the civs.

DWD and island were both mafia? Never saw that coming

smh civs, just a terrible effort from almost all of the non specials

I lasted six or seven days and left no trail other than to JMan. I got you all to buy in to the disinterested civ act and I posted that I thought you and HTTD were mafia which made everyone think at least one of you were.

If you mean by not participating at all and posting almost word for word the same thing each day, yeah, you didn't leave a trail. It's also a complete bitch way to play the game.

I highly doubt anyone took your suggestions to heart

Not leaving a trail is how we won the game.

I mean island had like twenty posts all game. It doesn't take talent to hide and it certainly doesn't help when half of the civs think posting is anti-civ.

Despite the fact that I don't like his attitude, I thought Jman did probably the best job of all the civs in providing rational commentary.

In retrospect, SD3 did pretty well, too, but he couldn't sell it, and that's the hardest part of this game.

Just like any good cop, I investigated the black dudes first.

Just kidding. Smoove had no analysis, more just commenting on things. I figured you would be a little more talkative as a civ. Drive by comments are an easy mafia tell. Other than that, didn't have a ton to work with.

I didn't have to post. Why post when the cits are doing a good job of going after everyone but the mafia. I pushed Loki when I had to but otherwise let the cits do what they were going to do. I was going to be much more active until the cits kept going off on the wrong path every round.

You can't sell if no one is around to buy...

This kind of twisted logic is why there is no downside to posting if you are a civ. Yeah, your ideas might get shot down or make you look foolish, but you're contributing something which (in theory) forces mafia to try stuff and usually make an error.

I mean, we lost. You lost. The terp all stars lost. That's the bottom line. If you're not good enough to win, you lose the game.

This is stream of consciousness posting, so apologies if it comes across non-sensical.

Known mafia members are: Diego (no show), loki (essentially a no show), Smoove (ultra quiet), and Ph (minimal real contribution). Ph and Smoove are a little tougher to analyze since damo got them, so we'd have to look closely at their interactions/mentions up to the point they were named to get anything. All we have for diego is the Day 2 argument that HTTD and I had.

Looking back at that argument, I was in favor of letting the no shows die. My reasoning at the time was that we could take a stab at getting mafia in the vote and maybe get lucky with a no show being mafia. Knowing now that two of the three absent players at that time were mafia, I think that would suggest a more civ position, since I'd assume a mafia member wouldn't want to sell out two teammates including the godfather like that. I can see the counterargument though.

Knight sure does pop in at convenient times.

DWD is scary to have around at this point. I sense reverse psychology from him drawing on that diego vote with him in the suspect pool. Holding his vote right now is also slightly troubling.

Here you go, tic.

gsterp, you basically admitted the mafia had you stumped because we didn't leave a trail.

Ugh. I played a bad game at the end there. I was convinced DWD was clear. Dude played a hell of a game.

Should have gone after Island when I said that he had the most red flags, instead of the eventual Knight run-up. Knight's "style change" may very well have cost us that game.
