I don't put too much blame on Ryan Reynolds for those 2 crappy movies. Perhaps I give him a pass because on the list of what makes those movies crappy, I think of a bunch of other reasons rather than him. That his character was lame once he became mute isn't Reynolds' fault, unless you want to say he should have emoted more with his eyes. Likewise for GL, so awful in so many ways I barely noticed him.

This is the same rationale I use to give Affleck a pass for Daredevil.

Pretty spot on. I also don't think Affleck was terrible as DD.
 
Whoever did the makeup for The Town did an awesome job with that Sarah Jessica Parker face prosthetic.

GL is a good contrast for what Marvel has done right. Marvel has gotten legitimately talented actors and given them a lot to do. With the exception of Nolan's trilogy and I guess Amy Adams in Man of Steel, DC has gotten actors who looked the part and haven't given them much to do.

I thought Michael Shannon and Russell Crowe were great casting choices in what was otherwise (including Amy Adams) a fairly mediocre film.
 
Jones is prettier, Lively has a way better body. Reports are that Jones is a massive bitch and that Lively is a party monster. Jones has also had a kid. I'll take Lively.

Guardians of the Galaxy is at 93% on RT in 57 reviews. That means 4 people wrote negative reviews. And glancing at those 4 they aren't even that negative.
 
Hercules is decent. It doesn't take itself seriously at all. It's an entertaining flick. Nothing to get too up or down about. Excited to see GotG tonight.
