Totally Unofficial 2015/16 Premier League Thread (NWT)

Wow, way to understate the shit out of that numbers! Good job, good effort!

Promotion gets you a shit ton more money and a shit ton more prestige, which will attract a better caliber of player than you could have gotten in the lower league. The jump from the Championship to the Premiership is fucking massive in terms of how valuable it is to a club.

Leicester is actually owned by a very rich man that has promised to invest hundreds of millions into the club/squad in order to get them into Europe in the next 5 years, which would be amazing from a club from their area of England.
Imagine the Durham Bulls being given a spot in the major leagues. There you go.

And the first awful refereeing decision of the year is in ... Naughton was to the side of goal and puts his hands up to protect his face from a half turn volley by Nolan from 1 foot in front of him. West Ham are awarded a penalty, AND Naughton gets a red.

Soft penalty, just a horrific red.

And ... West Ham misses the penalty. Justice is served, kind of.

So he raised his arms to the ball? That's a penalty.

Unsure about the red as you described it, though. I'll wait to see it for myself to judge.

Are any other matches besides Everton/Leicester on tv? I have TWC and last year there were a couple of special events channels that would have some of the other matches going on at the same time.

Eh - he never saw the ball (it was a volley on the half turn by Nolan) and put his hands up in front of his face. Debatable penalty - seen them given, seen them not. The red was just a horrible decision - he wasn't the last man, and saying he intentionally handballed to stop a shot is laughable.

TBF - Naughton just isn't good. Getting himself into positions where shit like that can happen isn't all that surprising. Kyle Walker getting healthy can't happen fast enough.

All on DirecTV.

You should switch. I'll give you my customer number for a referral and we can both save 100 bucks over 10 months! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Oh, and the ref is Chris Foy. The same ref who has fucked Spurs over multiple times. To say he's not a popular person at White Hart Lane is an understatement.

Well yeah you obviously get a lot more money and the chance to go directly to Europe if you crack the top 4. I was just talking about any internal changes.

I agree with this:

@GaryLineker: Noble misses a penalty for West Ham. Correct handball decision but absurd red card against Naughton. Ball was heading over.

A little late on this answer, but I thought that the extra 90 seconds or so United got was because of the Siggy injury at the beginning of stoppage time. He was down for at least that long. So Dean added time to added time. I am ABU, but didn't think it was fishy. He also showed his watch to Shelvey when Jonjo complained.

Unless Naughton is Neo from the Matrix, I really doubt he intentionally did it. PK yes, red card no.

LOL. His armS were raised right in front of the goal and he blocked the shot. That's a red.

Nice penalty, Noble. woof!
