BBall Recruiting Megathread - Crawford, Moore, & Collins ALL TO WAKE!

Do they no longer have AAU, NBA top 100, Big Time and Peach jam like tourneys in the summer? Are we just not mentioned by anyone of relevance anymore? Was always interesting to see how our recruits performed. Guess our recruits aren't invited to these events anymore...

That's what we've been referencing all summer.

Kewanee '16 Donovan Oliver has offer from Illinois State and tells me he just received interest from Wake Forest & St. Louis @PrepHoopsIL

-----
Oliver is being recruited by Tulsa so Manning likely was recruiting him before at Tulsa. Currently has no ranking and has underwhelming offers. Illinois was in on him last year but has dropped off apparently.

FROM JULY 21ST - "Right now, I'm hearing from Iowa, Wisconsin, Northern Illinois, Illinois State, Northern Iowa, Drake, Western Illinois, Bucknell, South Dakota, Southern Illinois-Edwardsville and St. Louis," he said, noting DePaul also showed early interest.

Probably nothing more than continuing to keep tabs/contact with him in case he develops into a high major player as he is a mid major player at best right now, but reports indicate he had a good summer. I don't think this is anything more than cursory interest at the moment.

If he is actually hearing from Wisconsin there's a good chance he could have solid up-side (if he's coached right), but you can't tell much about Wisconsin's interest from what he said. Wisconsin has made a living grabbing under-rated, hard nosed kids and coaching them up. Might be someone to keep an eye on, but since we don't have Bo sitting on our bench I'm not sure we could have the same results.

Malik Beasley will visit September 19-21 (Homecoming Weekend).

"Beasley last week cut his list to eight schools — St. John’s, UConn, UCLA, Wake Forest, Florida State, Oregon, VCU and Georgia.

Since then, two of those schools have added shooting guards. UCLA got a pledge from former UConn commit Prince Ali, while VCU on Tuesday got a verbal from Kenny Williams."

I hope Chill can put a little of his personality into Danny's. If they do, they could become a great tag team for recruiting.
