I'm not sure we have a tackle to play. But I agree Ford and Helms need to stay inside

Lol. It's pretty obvious that Grobe was an ok hands off coach who lucked into that one. A perfect storm of staff, players and a down ACC. Recruiting sucked, and once his original staff left, he was unable to replace them. My favorite Wake Forest memory ever, but Grobe underachieved every season after it. The only thing worse than tonight would have been a Grobe/Lobo coached version of this steaming pile.

They will get better as the season goes on, but yeah, it's going to be rough. We lost to this team last year and supposedly they are better this year. We'll see. If we do lose a lot of games I'm still not that concerned as Clawson has shown an ability to turn things around and there just isn't a lot of talent yet.

The other thing is the defense looks pretty good. They just wore down at the end because the offense couldn't keep them off the field. As the offense improves the defense is only going to get better.

Just not true. You make the front 7 over-pursue and run misdirection/traps/slip screens. I don't think I saw a single one of these.

O-line was terrible, as expected. Nothing much done to combat this though. Talent gap isn't so bad that they couldn't put up 100 yards.
 
It is amazing that so many are just chalking this up to bad talent. There are a lot of HS offenses that absolutely would have put up a better performance than WFU tonight. Granted they may have better talent too.

Meh. There was plenty of misdirection, but it ended up with Orville running into a bunch of unblocked players.

I can't remember our o-line ever looking quite this bad. I don't think it can be overstated.
 
Defense played great.......only gave up 10 points. Were just on the field way too much.
