BC game thread

Our offense is still a work in progress and that BC defense is a stud, held FSU to one offensive touchdown and didn't let Duke score a touchdown last week. If we were going to win this game it was going to be in this type fashion.
 
As goofy as the ending was, I didn't even get to see it, as my cable provider put a 3 minute or so Amber Alert emergency message on the screen right after BC ran their first play after the Wake fumble. Man was I pissed. They finally came back to the game with all of the ref confusion with 0 seconds on the clock. I am still not sure what happened for the game to end like that. And to add insult to injury, I dvr'd the game, but somehow it taped one channel over (despite it saying it was the correct channel and showing Wake/BC in the info). Thanks for completely fucking me over Comcast.
 
I'd have been interested to see what Hinton could do against these guys. I can only assume Clawson had protection of the ball foremost in his mind and he went with the upperclassman. Or maybe Hinton was too gimpy to go full speed. Very little on our offensive side to encourage us, but the BC mistake on their own 5 decided the game and I'll take it.
 
Townie, I will respond to your stupid rep on the boards. The ending was absurd. There is nothing wrong with a defensive battle. That was a comedy of errors. An absolute meltdown by two offenses that literally just had to do the bare minimum not to lose, and fought each other desperately to find ways to lose. Even Claw laughed after the game and said they made one more mistake than us. It was absurdly terrible in every way. We will be laughed at on social media and ESPN all week.

The difference is other teams know when Wolford is in they come after him and not worry about him killing them with his legs, but Hinton can. Maybe Wolford is the better thrower, but I think that is negated by the amount of pressure he's under almost every snap.

Correction: BC will be laughed at all week. We won despite all those mistakes, meanwhile those mistakes cost them the game.

You apparently don't recognize all of the following:

A) one team has to win
B) both teams have great defenses and mediocre to poor offenses
C) a win is a win
D) road wins are valuable in the ACC
E) our defense came up absolutely huge today
F) if people want to make fun of the performance of two teams in the cellar of a mediocre conference, let them at it, i'm guessing nobody aside from our fanbase cares
G) there are lots of people in our fanbase that have perspective enough to know that this game does matter
H) it's a step closer to bowl eligibility in a season where nobody thought that was in the realm of possibility
I) plenty of positive takeaways today, like the return of Duke, the turnovers, the defensive goal line stands PLURAL, alex kinal's continued domination, etc.
J) i hate you

For once, I'm with Townie.
 
Just like last year's 6-3 win over VT this BC game will certainly be voted the worst game of 2015. That makes it a double win!
 
Meh. I agree with you the defenses for both teams played well. Whatever that means given how terrible the offenses both were. Not sure what the rest of your post has to do with anything I said. It was a terrible game. Missed field goals, unforced turnovers, and terrible end of game coaching. I'm sorry you don't like me.
 
Young teams gotta learn how to win. Doesn't matter if it's pretty.
 
Clawson said Hinton was really not available today, that kid really gutted it out next week after getting hurt. We've got a couple of tough kids at QB.
