There just aren't enough good games, but furthermore, Goodell sucks, the NFL is doing everything in it's power to keep head injury information from the public, and there are so many god damn commercials.
 
As a diehard Eagles fan my entire life, I am finding it hard to enjoy the victory tonight. That was some bad football. I'm somebody who really believes that how you play is more important than if you win or lose. All I can hope for is the Eagles will quit the mistakes, stay healthy, and the team we dreamed about will emerge.
 
Eagles defense is very good this year. Their numbers get skewed because of the position their offense is putting them in in terms of turnovers and being on the field all game (meaning aggregate stats make them look worse than per possession stats - I expect them to be top 5 in defensive dvoa tomorrow). Safeties have been very good and the front is excellent.

That being said, good lord is Bradford and the receiving corps awful.
 
Think the Eagles matchup well with Carolina. I expect a 17-14 type game. We'll see.

I dunno... the Eagles won't be able to run and the Panthers have been punishing teams for turning the ball over

The Eagles best hope is to just throw it to whomever Roman Harper is chasing around and can't catch
 
Only the Jax and Buf affiliates will be showing on TV. Everyone else has to watch online.

Smart by the NFL. Clearly knows that Man United are taking on Man City at 10 AM on Sunday and don't want to compete against that because many ultimate bitch of a bandwagon fan, such as myself, will be watching that on TV.

Carolina's defense should do just fine. The Eagles O doesn't matchup well with anyone, let alone a good defense.

But I think it's a tough spot for Carolina coming off that win and what Carolina does on offense also tends to play into Eagles strength on D. That's why I expect it to be very low scoring. The line opening at -2.5 seemed low too.

So has it been confirmed that getting Bradford was part of a grand Chip Kelly scheme to get the #2 pick to get Mariota?
 
He definitely did propose a trade up to get Mariota. I also think Kelly still believes in Bradford or his system enough to think it's good enough til a better option comes around. The East is so bad this season (with the Cowboys injury problems) that it may not matter. Eagles D has gotten better pretty fast.
 
Sam's just shaking off the rust. He'll be fine. Where are all the people who were so worried that Bradford would get injured?
