It's not the end of the world. We desperately need CMM and Crab back and we win that game. Also didn't help they were draining 3's the whole game.
 
20 turnovers to 6. Story of the game and McClinton and Thomas combining to go 2-10 from the ft line.

Manning did not distinguish himself in coaching tonight. The shot Dino took after the TO should have earned him a ticket to the bench. Hard to believe Manning called a fall a way jumper during the TO

We had it down to 2 and the ball coming out of a T/O. Should be able to get a better look and potentially finish off the comeback. But no.

Love Crawford but why is he dribbling around the perimeter with really no plan? And then when he drives, it's at the wrong time. Grrrrr

Where is the pick n' roll? Where are the back cuts? No real movement when the PG is dribbling. That is the most concerning to me. Should at least be able to move the ball against UR to get an open/decent look.
 
Our defense is lacking. Not quick enough to stop guys off the dribble. Not closing out on shooters. Lose guys in transition. The reason we lost tonight was defense. Plain and simple. You can't get into a shoot out w a team like Richmond and let them spot up at will from 3.
 
At least we've got the football game to look forward to Saturday.:bowrofl:
 
Really, really poorly coached game. No two ways around it. They were running circles around us with their offense.

Nor that we missed a ton of FTs and took just awful shots in the last 3 minutes. You would have thought that Mitchell or Crawford would be taking the shots
 
Freshman PG and Freshman PF gonna play like freshmen at times. Dinos, well, he's just a sophomore. Can't expect a lot from youth if they're not top 30ish players.
 
Another indictment of our lack of overall basketball iq is the 20 secs or so it took to foul. Between that and shot selection in the last 3 mins, I'm not sure who to place the blame on.

This is where I am. No one thought we were going to be great this year. Being without CMM and Crab hasn't helped. I'm encouraged by Crawford and Collins that DM seems to identify talent well.

I'm so tired of sucking. Fuck

When in doubt, always blame Wellman.
 
Turnover city, terrible free throw shooting, piss-poor defense = prescription for disaster. The Joel must have the softest, most-forgiving rims in the world. Richmond shot way over their head but we helped 'em to do it.

I hope Crab and Rondale and the whole team have learned their lesson. We can't win like this against more serious teams.

every time i thought we played real defense we got called for a foul. and then the players give up lay ups which i guess is what the rule changes want?

anyway, bad game from manning regarding lineups and players in crucial moments
