JETS JETS JETS

Sanchez? Sanchez is pretty much a stud. Plays huge games when needed. Seems like a winner. Dumber than Joe Montana quite possibly, but it worked for Joe!

They can sign 6 more all-pro defensive players, but they will never get anywhere with that beaner QB.

The Ravens won a SB with Trent Dilfer. I repeat, Trent Dilfer.

I agree with you and disagree with jaybone that Sanchize is a mediocre at best starting QB. But he's better than Dilfer. And if you have Asomugha and Revis, a good front 7 and Rex calling blitzes, you could win a SB just averaging 14-20 ppg. Hell, that defense could outscore opposing offenses in half of their games.

He averaged 205 (189, 194, 233) yards passing in the playoffs last year. Total stud.

how many playoff games has he played in two years and what is his record? He's tied for the most playoff road wins in the playoffs in the history of the NFL. The history of the NFL. Tied with Roger Stauback. He threw 5TDs and 1 pick last year, 60% completions. So go fuck yourself. You're an idiot.

Your animosity should be intended for the OC, Shottenheimer's kid.

I'm not saying he's Drew Brees, but he's a bad ass the team often rallies around. Nobody ever rallied around Trent Dilfer (as far as I know).

as a Jets fan, i want more out of Sanchez. but lets be honest he has only played 2 seasons and has done fine...got some nice wins but looked like hell other times. i can't tell if he is still going to be on his short leach but he is doing fine and still has a huge upside.

throw the ball down the field is all i have to say.

Nice temper tantrum.

The Sanchize isn't an above average QB. He's a guy who so far has played within himself for a very good team with a great D. Essentially, thus far in his early career, he's been asked not to lose games. I can think of at least 15 QBs who I'd rather have at this time. I'd lump him with guys like Stafford and Freeman - young QBs with some promise. OTOH, he's certainly not a bust at this point.

As for Dilfer, yes his team really did rally around him. Dilfer was excellent at throwing the ball to the grass, which gave him a leg up on Tony Banks, who was colorblind when it came to jerseys. So when you're the alternative to Tony Banks, it's not asking much to have your team rally around you.

I think Freeman will be way better than Sanchez. He's not good but he does seem to have the QB knack for winning big games.

Are Jets fans saying they have to go out and get the stud CB to counteract the Pats signing Ocho Cinco? I honestly think their defense is fine without him, they'd be way better off trying to use the Patriot Way and signing something for less money who might have some great upside... use that money elsewhere.

i disagree. i haven't seen Nnamdi play much but if he is as good as advertised i would love to have him, despite the $ paycheck. having great corners is essential for Rexy's defense to run smoothly...the QB will just be able to toss is up on big blitzes but with the great corners he will have to hold it for that extra second or two. that extra time could equal more sacks and/or turnovers.

Nnamdi usually didn't get a ton of plays his way because he is an excellent corner.
been to the last 3 Pro Bowls iirc.

the Raiers of course fucked up his contract and prolly couldn't afford to pay him anyways.

Classic Jaybone. Take a ridiculous position and then go nuts when someone points out that you're wrong.

So what the Jets have won road playoff games? It wasn't because of Sanchez. His QB rating last year was fucking 75. That's 27 out of 31 QBs. Only Hasselbeck, Farve, Derek Anderson and Clausen were WORSE. But you are right, he's a STUD.

So go eat a bag of dicks you old, clueless, uncoordinated, frisbee-flinging fagbot. Stick to something you know, like sucking at ultimate.

You and Sanchize can share a nachos supreme while watching the Falcons in the Superbowl in February.

Andreben was on a roll until he dropped the falcons line....

Fagbot? Really? What is this, 1975? This is a message board, keep the insults to my idiot opinions. You know me about as well as I imagine you know a pussy, a pussy in the flesh anyway.

But I digress. Sanchez plays big in big games. Period. He's just dumber than even you. Very few retard QBs succeed, but Joe Montana did, so I'm gonna stick with the guy who beat NE in NE and threw what was it? 3TD passes? I can't remember. It was a such a beat down.

And I like the Falcons, btw. Sure, I'd rather have Matt Ryan at QB than Sanchez, but I'd rather have Sanchez than all but about six or seven QBs. What Sanchez does well is bring the toughness of the defense to the offensive side of the ball. Not that many QBs do that. Ryan doesn't. Neither does Brees. Tommy Tom Tom in NE looked like he wanted to get to the off season without needing rehab against the Jets. Sanchez is Tebow light, who gets laid and can throw better.

ummm what Jets fans are saying this? The Jets have been after Asomugha since free agency started

i agree deachawk...8cinco is a fine WR, getting old, slowing down and not what he was 4-5 seasons ago. besides, i didn't know about the trade until yesterday...always wanted Asomugha!

i was hoping to spend a bit less money and go after Joseph from Cincy but if we can land Asomugha and it works with cap space then gotta do it. if we do sign Aso I can't wait to see the blitz packages Rex Ryan comes up with

Sanchez in the playoffs: 9 TD 3 INT, 94rating, 60% completion.

Not a great QB and may never become one, but I don't think that merits calling him terrible. he is certainly capable of some awful throws--we saw that for stretches last year. but not a bad first two years, overall.

I agree that Sanchize is better than Tebow. Way better, but that's not saying a thing. You'd rather have him than all but 6-7 QBs?!?!? Of all the unfathomable things you've written on these boards, that may take the cake. Brady, Manning, Rodgers, Brees, Rivers, Rapistberger. There is the universal top-6. Then the next tier would include Ryan, Vick, Romo, Schaub, Flacco, Eli and Bradford. Then comes a tier or old guys and some young guys with some potential - Freeman, Stafford, Sanchize and McCoy. And frankly, I think he's behind Freeman and maybe Stafford if Stafford can stay on the field.

The Jets are a very good team because of their D, Rex, the OL and the WRs. The offensive backfield is the somewhat weak link right now. You put Sanchize in Detroit, Tampa or St Louis, and those teams would be worse off.

You got me .. sort of. I'd take your top six over Sanchez. I'd take Ryan and Vick and Romo. On the fence with Schaub and Freeman as neither has been in the playoffs much less won 4 road games. I'd take Sanchez over the rest without hesitation.

Flacco is a huge pussy. At his size, he should be a stud. I like Bradford, but want to see if he can take hits and win games.

All Sanchez has done is taken his team to the conference championship two years in a row. He's got an awful OC. He plays bigger the bigger the game. I like him.

Unfathomable my ass, cupcake.
