I've been feeling pretty good about Bz' recruiting since Rountree signed. This news almost feels like a deliverance. CONGRATS CHASE!!!
This is awesome news. Chase does one thing really well and that is shoot the basketball. You can be a productive player at many levels if you are excellent at one thing. Hope he continues to hone that skill as well as work on the other parts of his game.
Yes it is different.
Some of the nation's top high school basketball talent will be heading to Houston April 1 for the National High School Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships.
Intersport, CBS Sports and MaxPreps.com will showcase 16 future college stars in the event, which will be held at the Berry Center at 7 p.m. CT Friday, April 1. It will be broadcast Sunday, April 3 (4:30-6 p.m. CT) on CBS Sports with numerous encore showings on CBS College Sports Network.
MaxPreps is selecting eight rim-rocking dunkers and eight long-range shooting specialists to compete. Details on participants will be released in the coming days.
.
Congrats, Chase.
The big question about Buzz last summer was could he recruit; not a bad start so credit where credit is due.
great news! congrats to Chase.
boy it's nice to put the "e" back on the end of Chase.
The only thing is that he will not be able to get up 28 shots a game here to get those scoring numbers.
I thought Chase already had an offer before Bz got here? Wasn't that the initial excuse from the Bzzinners, due to his low rating, and poor competition?
He averaged 6 assists and 6 rebounds with his 37 ppg. That is astonishing for high school. That means on any given night he is directly responsible for a minimum of 49 ppg for his high school team. Obviously he is the only good player on the team, but that is astonishing. It will be very different for him when he is only being guarded by one guy when he gets here. He can very clearly get his shot up from anywhere, and probably very quickly. I'm very excited to see what he can bring to the team next year.
