Online Virtual Coach Simulation

I'm blocked from simsports at work. If someone could check and post the schedule on the Deacon Thread on their boards, I'd appreciate it. I am assuming that nobody else asked to be in the tournament from that site....

Don't they know you're the Coach K of SimSports?

I'm not sure how to request the games - can someone give me a quick tutorial?

On the coaching page, top right:

Schedule Exhibition Games link.

You'll want to do the first three teams in your list reading from left to right. (after your own team ID) in order using game ID 1,2,3.

Then for the last 3 teams, use the Schedule Regular Season Games link.

You'll want to input in order teams 4, 5 and 6 on your list.

Try and get it in tonight so you can see the results in case of a mistake.

Sorry I couldn't give you more detail instructions but I have a 6 PM meeting and had a work emergency.

Thanks - all mine are sent - good luck with the meeting.

Not used to meaningless games. I didn't know who I was playing until just now - kigerfor3 at Youngstown, another Deac. Wish he got in the DeACCon.

And then there were None...

Unfortunately, Duluth fell tonight against Philadelphia 72-64. Morin had 23 points but had very little help. The difference in the game came down to Turnovers. Duluth gave the ball away 12 times to 4 for the Insatiables.

Tough luck Ph. :(

Now Deacon coaches will have to get excited about recruiting and next season.

Mirror images of each other: pass-only PG's, elite scoring SG and SF, yeoman down low. Philly with the better bench.

Frankfort lost again - this time to Stockton. Got killed on FTA 5-25. Since we're out of the hunt, we stopped paying the refs. I guess they sent a message tonight. The odd thing is Frankfort is still PR #1, despite losing 2 of last 3 and being 3 games behind Carnegie and Springfield. Their SOS sucks. Regardless, one will be crowned champ on Friday. Springfield is kmoney's old team (Ninja Vampires) that he apparently gave up to coach dominator. I'm rooting for coach horn @ Carnegie as he built is team instead of inheriting it.

Guess the Named Players theme (pretty easy, so provide details):
Navin Johnson
Orin Scrivello
Freddy Benson

Also expecting good classes out of Laramie and Arlington, if anyone wants to name some other players.

I put my games in just now.

Picked up a good win over New Haven which should give me a definite advantage in Win in my recruitment of Dan Lash, the top player on my board.

I put in bPG Jr Joseph Phifer at PG and he responded well with 16 pts, 3 ast. Starting PG Eric Wright scored 17 points all season.

bPF Fr Williams Corley filled in nicely at PF with 14 pts, 8 reb. He goes into next season as the clear favorite to start at PF.

I think I'm good with my top two choices, 6-5 PG Dan Lash and 6-0 PG Aaron Leadbetter. They are two of the top players in the class and should be great defenders and solid scorers. I'm still deciding how to pref my other three leads. All rate in my system as decent enough players in the 70-80th percentile. Who I take depends on immediate and long-term need.

Warren Donnelly
Aaron Conroy
Fritz Curran
Konrad Garrett
Assuming I get Lash and Leadbetter, this is my likely lineup.

PG Sr 6-4 Phifer - I love Sr PGs. I'll scrimmage a lot between Phifer, Lash, and Leadbetter for this spot
SG Fr 6-5 Lash - He defended well at SG in scrimmages, although not as good as at PG
SF Jr 6-6 Morin - among league leading scorers and elite defender at SG
PF So 6-10 Corley - should be a solid scorer and rebounder (10/5 per 30 this season)
C Sr 6-10 Murphy - 4 year starter - good defender, rebounder, and passer
bPG Jr 6-6 Wright - stuck with him because it was working, but it would be nice to have a scoring PG again.
bSG Fr 6-0 Leadbetter - would rather see him at PG
bSF/PF
bSF/PF So 7-1 Lowell Murray - glue guy at bSF, 2.6 ast - probably similar to Murphy if given the chance
bC So 6-10 Josh Valverde - 6/8 per 30 at bC
NA Jr Greg Dickerson
NA Sr Hugh Gilson

I could easily flip PG and SG if I feel comfortable going with two FR PGs.

Here are my choices for the 3rd spot:
6-9 Warren Donnelly - F+ Scouted gFFeF - classic PF; points slipped from 20 to 15, steady at 9+ reb
6-8 Aaron Conroy - G Scouted EffFG - good SG/SF scorer; 20/7 at C in HS
6-3 Fritz Curran - P Scouted ggFfF - good scorer, decent defender
6-7 Konrad Garrett - E Scouted EFFFg - similar to conroy 21/5 at PF in HS

Funny how that Works, Boca has lost 2 in a row and we've dropped to #22.

I've decided that since we're on a 2 game skid and Friday's game is pretty much meaningless, I'm going to start 3 guys in place of my Seniors and see where they are in terms of readyness for next season. Nervous and excited about Signing Day. I'm either going to be bouncing off the walls with joy or shoving my head through a wall. :) Hopefully joy vs pain!

Good luck everyone in recruiting (save Flagstaff for Naquin, unless I don't get him)

FYI: If anyone wants to join me, I'll be on the DTL chat channel Saturday around 11:15 AM.

we have already employed this tactic since my 2nd or 3rd game in the NTT. the guys are doing well, 2-1 with the one loss by 2 pts...in fact, to my surprise, they got a 99-57 win last night against the Denver Gargoyles (17-6)! that in combination with an overtime thriller win over Flagstaff has me relatively excited about next season. a Jimenez, Knox and Clanton combination is proving to be an explosive offensive attack! defense may be another issue...:eek:hnoes:

fucking signing day...the worst day in a Dearborn fan's life! what a mess i have made with this recruiting class! i feel that i can give this class a pass since i got to recruit in only 1 day since i was on vacation and without a computer the 2 weeks prior...big money, no whammies!

Barclay r2 1/1 - i am feeling good about him. i do win 1 out of every 4 or 5 1/1 max ties. i think i am due (50%)!
Bergeron r8 2/2 - i have not won more that a 1/1 (1) since S60. this looks even to me...33%.
Coyne r16 3/3 - same as above but due to prefs i believe i am in good shape for this player. G- Local and E+ win against Peoria (11-12), Milwaukee (18-5) and Glendale (16-7, they are not local). maybe 40%?
Harding r30 1/1 - i am a little behind on this player but he is P- local and Scottsdale is a local team. being conservative...60%.
Waters r28 0/1 - some ho coach (Grand Rapids) tried to steal him from me but is about 11rpe behind, or so.
McClellan r14 0/0 - he will drop in a few categories but is a good rebounder and has some versatility in his game.

i also have 3 others waiting for a fall (all with 1 coach leading and no other teams with 28rpe)! i think i will take the best of what is available to me, outside my maxes which i have prioritized.
